The R3 was a very exciting build for us as we were creating something different that what we had worked on before.

The idea of R3 was to build a beast of a bike with modern sports bike styling with touch of classic. We did that very thing. We gave it a mean stance showing it's ready to take on the road, wide front end using bespoke machined yokes fitted onto refurbished R1 USD forks with fat classic Coker beck tyres, classic BMW tank with the thumping airhead engine and exhaust system floating under the seat. The bike looks good coming towards you and whilst its riding away. Just perfect.

As with all our bikes, they all get proper Sinroja treatment which means full engine, gearbox, carbs rebuild (Scriminger Engine Developments was brought in again, but again we did them in house as Steve now works for us on freelance basis and has closed his operations, so from now on we do all engine, gearbox, carb rebuilds in house and will provide full BMW specialist services for customers and friends in the custom industry. Our plan is to be the go to place for BMW airheads and provide services at competitive prices). 

 

All the electronics were binned too and replaced with brand new wiring as always by Towza at Towzatronics but this time he was given lots of Motogadget goodies like the M-unit, switches, bar end indicators, rear indicator pins, RFID ignition etc. 

 

The paint scheme with this bike was one of the highlights, as we were not sure how it would turn out to be but at the end we gotta say flat baby blue with metallics black stripes turned out to be perfect.
