Sinroja R10 "Gentlemen Brat"

Sinroja R10, the Gentlemen Brat was built for Royal Enfield to showcase the possibilities of their brand new Himalayan. Royal Enfield requested 2 bikes to show two sides of the spectrum, a sleek cafe racer based on Continental GT and a everyday, get on and go brat based on the brand new platform, Himalayan.

When we spoke at length with royal enfield and discussed our ideas the main thing we all wanted to achieve from this build was to show what are the possibilities with the brand new Himalayan. Being a completely new model and a totally different from then current like up of RE we wanted to make sure it was different end product to what’s out there already. It was difficult to visualise the bike as there was nothing done to it in the market and whatever we did had to set a bar.

The build process from beginning started with basic concept ideas, then they went onto being digital renders. The bikes were fresh from factory but because of the colour scheme we stripped the engine all the way to repaint professionally. No corners were cut even thought we knew the deadline was next to impossible.

Every aspect of the bike was looked at from front to back. We wanted to give it a mean chunky look sort of mad max feel so we changed  decided to go with small 16 inch wheels with balloon type coker tyres. The classic colours scheme worked well with white wall tyres. We wanted to use solid retro colours with the modern design and it worked out perfectly. The industrial grey represents the ruggedness of the himalayan engine and the bike in general.

The tank is original but with cleaned up welds to get rid of chunky edges and painted beautifully by black shuk kustom. The rest of the frame was cleaned up totally taking off any unnecessary bits off it. The front end was beefed up with Ducati 851 forks and brembo braking the rear shock was replaced with custom one off Hagon fully adjustable shock. Again fastec custom racing was brought in to make some beautiful machined yokes. The speedo is slotted inside the top handlebar mount to keep the dash clean. The motogadget mini speedo is state of art digital speedo with minimalistic design.  We took off the EFI completely to get rid of unnecessary harnesses and to clean up the whole look of the bike and again Towzatronics was brought in to help out with the electrics. Plus it makes tuning very easy.

The exhaust was again made in house from single piece of stainless tubing giving it a seamless finish ending up with GP style exhaust right in the middle of the bike to give it a compact look. It sounds awesome and spitting flames now and then just makes it all a lot more fun. We wanted it to be a single seater so we chopped the rear frame and cleaned up the tail. All the electrics are hidden under the seat keeping with the minimalistic design.

The idea of himalayan originally is a rugged bike built to tackle any road and we wanted to make sure the custom had the same feel. A bike that you could just get on and ride. A simple bike, a mile muncher and built to go anywhere.

Finally they were revealed at the show and got a great response from the motorcycle industry!
